The worship team leading hymns from the chapel organ

Evening of Worship & Hymns

Worship Center · February 12, 2027 · 19:00 – 20:30 · Old hymns, new songs, one voice

About this gathering

Sing Like You Mean It

Once a season we clear the diary for ninety minutes of pure singing. The organ sounds, the guitars join, the choir leads — and the congregation, frankly, out-sings them all. From Wesley to the newest worship songs, with the stories behind the hymns woven between.

Request your favourite when you arrive: the hymn board fills fast, and “Be Thou My Vision” has won three seasons running. Hot chocolate is served in the interval.

The evening in order

  1. 1.Hymns of the centuries (19:00). Four hundred years of praise in forty minutes — vote for your favourites at the door.
  2. 2.Stories behind the songs (19:45). The shipwreck, the prison cell and the Kitchen table where beloved hymns were born.
  3. 3.Candlelit close (20:10). One final hymn by candlelight, a blessing, and hot chocolate in the hall.

From the choir stalls

“We rehearse for weeks, and every time the congregation drowns us out by the second verse. It is the best sound in the world.”

Eleanor V., choir soprano
