Begin the Year on Your Knees
Before the diaries fill and the resolutions fade, we gather to lay the new year before God. An hour of guided prayer — thanksgiving for the year gone, intercession for the valley, and quiet listening for what God is saying next — followed by a proper cooked breakfast together.
Come for the prayer, stay for the bacon sandwiches, or slip in halfway through. Prayer stations for children run alongside, so the whole family can take part.
The morning in order
- 1.Thanksgiving (07:30). Naming a hundred mercies of the old year — written on stars and hung on the prayer tree.
- 2.Intercession (08:00). The valley street by street: schools, surgeries, farms and families, prayed for aloud together.
- 3.Breakfast (08:30). A full cooked breakfast in the hall — vegetarian and gluten-free gladly catered.
